Capital at risk. Whisky casks are not regulated investments. The value of investments can go down as well as up. Past performance is not a guide to future performance.

What happens after you ask

The guide comes first. Everything after it is at your pace, and nothing is bought until you have the price and every fee in writing and have said yes.

The guide, by email

Usually within twenty minutes, from admin@oakandmason.co.uk. Not there by then? Look in your spam folder, then write to us and we will send it again. One more email follows three days later.

Common questions

Is there a charge for the guide?

No. The guide is free, and asking for it does not commit you to anything.

Is the guide advice?

No. It explains how whisky casks are held, taxed and sold. Nothing in it is personal investment, tax or legal advice, and tax rules can change.

What do you do with my details?

We use them to send the guide and the emails that follow it, and a member of the team may call to answer any questions. We do not share them. The privacy notice sets out the rest.

Can I have the gold guide too?

Yes, from the UK gold guide page. Ask for it once this one has arrived: each comes in its own email.

The other guide

A short guide to UK gold

What you own when you buy Royal Mint gold coins, where they are kept, what they cost, how the tax works and how they are sold.
